Our maps are fragile, one-of-a-kind artworks and must be shipped with care. Please package your returns in a similar manner as it was received. If maps are damaged during the return process, the refund will be issued minus the cost of damage incurred. If you have any questions about best practices for return shipping, please Contact Us
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of dropping your package off with the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
Our maps are one-of-a-kind artworks that sometimes contain glass and other fragile materials. While we do our best to securely package every map for safe delivery, careless handling or accidents may result in damage to your artwork. That is why our shipping costs automatically include insurance for the full amount of each map purchased.
If you receive a map that you believe was damaged in transit, please take photos of the damage and email them to email@example.com within 10 days of delivery date. Once our team receives this feedback we can begin simultaneously filing an insurance claim and creating a replacement artwork. We cannot begin this process without photographic evidence of the damage.
We kindly ask that you DO NOT DISPOSE OF ARTWORK and packaging until this insurance claim has been processed, or it may be voided by the insurance company. In some cases, a Lithos Project team member may provide a printable shipping label to return the artwork for repair.
All of our maps are made by hand using a unique process that involves layering and polishing glass or plexiglas to create the 3D layering effect. Sometimes small defects in the glass layers can become visible when viewed at certain angles--this is a subtle and unavoidable aspect of our handmade process.
Each Lithos Project map is thoroughly scrutinized prior to shipping. However, if your receive your artwork and notice a dot, speck, or other defect that you believe diminishes the quality of your purchase, please take photos of the defect and email them to firstname.lastname@example.org within 10 days of delivery date. Our team will review the claim and may offer you a partial refund, replacement, or credit towards future Lithos Project products.
